Speakers
MIT-PITT-RW Team Advisor
Nayana is a recent Computer Engineering graduate from the University of Pittsburgh, She was the previous Pitt General Manager as well as club president for the Pitt Robotics and Automation Society. Her areas of interest are in robotics and automated systems — specifically in the areas of motion planning and multi-agent systems — as well as entrepreneurship. To gain experience in these fields, Nayana has been a Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University’s Biorobotics Lab for the past three years and interned at IAM Robotics where she worked on the Mobility and Controls team.
MIT Driverless General Manager
Cindy is a first-year MBA candidate at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where she is the co-captain and general manager of MIT Driverless.
Before pursuing her MBA, Cindy held a multitude of impressive positions while gaining practical business experience, most recently as a Corporate Development and Strategy intern at TuSimple and as part of the Strategy and operations team at Arnie, a fin-tech startup that builds each user a unique portfolio with companies that align with their sustainable and ethical values. She has also worked as an Equity Research Associate at MFS Investment Management, where she invested in various automotive and technology companies.
Product Manager at Waymo
Eric is a Product Manager at Waymo where he works with teams building software that makes sure our vehicles exhibit safe and comfortable behaviors with cyclists, motorcyclists, and other micromobility users.
Prior to Waymo, Eric was a Product Manager at Uber ATG where he drove the technical development and commercialization strategy for many core technologies. He also worked as a Robotics Engineer at Facebook, specializing in human-robot interaction, mobile manipulation, and multi-agent systems.
Eric received his B.Sc in Electric Engineering from the University of Southern California where he focused on robotics (human-robot interaction and planning under uncertainty) and product design.
